### Notes and Ideas Journey I started a path recently to see if there was a way to better capture and organize my thoughts and ideas. In my research I discovered several methodologies and tools. I quickly gravitated to Obsidian... but I also use Evernote as note and idea capture tools. ## Evernote Evernote has been with me since about 2011. I have a lot of notes and thoughts in there. But until recently, the tool had not been improved much. All of the sudden within the last year, many incredible improvements have been made. ### Audio Notes with Transcribe and AI Summary My favorite is the audio recording and transcribing features. Complete with an AI summary of the voice notes to help clarify my thoughts. If is pretty nice to watch how AI processes my speech and provides a clear summary of what I was trying to say! ### Spaces and Image Transcribe They have created a concept of Spaces, and also image transcribe. I took a photo of a peice of audio equipment and it generated text of. the fron panel of this device. I guess I should not have been surprised... but I was. ## Obsidian Then along came Obsidian. It seems to have some advantages from my perspective. I love the interface and the plugin concepts. It has a set of **Core Plugins** and **Community Plugins**. It supports publishing to a web site and for this site, I am using Obsidian to publish my posts. I have a folder in Obsidian labeled Posts and whenever I hit the publish buttton, My unpublished articles are quickly published. I tend to like it better than Wordpress. By the time I want to publish something in Wordpress... I may have already moved on and forgotten the topic by the time I get to the Post page and jot down the article. ## The Journey I hope to post more about my journey on note taking, thought organization and publishing!
