## Tools Princeton Pike Church uses an Avid S6L for FOH and Broadcast consoles. I normally mix Broadcast. Today (February 2, 2025) I mixed FOH. ## Surface Differences at this site At Princeton Pike Church, I typically mix Broadcast/Livestream on an S6L. In this case, the two surfaces are different. The FOH console is a 32 and the Broadcast is a 24. (Pictured is the Broadcast Console). The FOH desk has another bank of 8 controls on the surface.  ### Mix Differences ### Front of House(FOH) With FOH you have the rooms acoustics working both for and against you. Acoustics, People, Crowd size... Temperature and humidity, all of these factors and others impact a live Front of House mix. You are working with perceived loudness and understanding the crowd and how they want to hear this event. There are stage volumes and other factors involved in this as well. ### Broadcast/Livestream Mixing Broadcast, the room may impact you differently when mixing. Typically influence your monitor mix. It is important to treat and understand the space you are mixing in to prevent unfounded mix decisions.
